Sports massage takes a holistic approach to hands-on deep tissue massage, myofacial treatment and stretching. It can be used before, during and after competition, during training and is extremely important for maintenance.

Sports massage can be used as injury prevention. Small muscle injuries can take up to 90 days to become apparent, evident by a decrease in performance or lameness. By this time, the injury site may have become progressively more damaged causing compensation in another area of the body. Body compensation can cause muscle tightening to transmit from one muscle group to another, resulting in extra stress. Quick response to these muscle injuries will not only improve a horses performance but can prevent future problems.
